Small thing, but I just like the vibe of the second half of the credits, where they show slow motion footage of waves crashing behind the credits. There's a final gag which caps off the film's plot, as we see that the 'big promotion' SpongeBob wanted throughout the whole film is just his old job with a miniscule raise. At the time, he intended this movie to be the end of the series, so it would have brought the show full circle. The freeze-frame into "Ocean Man" by Ween carries special significance, as Stephen Hillenburg has cited that song and its album as a major influence on the creation of the show.
The Wilco and Flaming Lips tracks made for the film are IMO just great songs in their own right. The music is not what you'd expect from a kids' cartoon movie, it's a relaxed playlist of ocean-related alt rock tracks.
The SpongeBob movie credits sequence has 4 million views on YouTube, so I guess I'm not the only one who likes it. I love a good credits sequence to close out a film on the right note, whether it's the way the film cuts to the credits or an appropriate choice of music that caps off the overall tone or story.
